the lowest point of my life in a long time…
Today I had to beg my former employer to give my old job back. I thought I’d never have to go back there, now I’m stuck
31 May, 2006 at 11:27 pm #222435Maybe so Beatty, but just think on this okay, you may have had to go back for now, but dont think on it as a forever thing, I obviously don’t know your circumstances but, try to think of it as only temporary, until something better comes round the corner xxx
31 May, 2006 at 11:30 pm #222436I’ve been thinking it’s temporary for about 4 years now :? I didn’t find any other job even though I really tried :(
I have to get out of here… :x

1 June, 2006 at 8:09 am #222438know how you feel about being stuck in a job.. but i got a very good friend who has helped me make a very very good CV, i am hoping it gets me places
in the mean time.. somtimes its good to take 1 step back, before you take 2 steps forward
1 June, 2006 at 8:26 am #222439Aww I know what it’s like to be stuck in a job you hate, but while you’re working there keep onl looking for other jobs, have interviews etc and hopefully you won’t have to work there for too much longer. Theres nothing stopping you looking for something better while you’re still there
1 June, 2006 at 8:32 am #222440Every morning when you go into work , think of all the good things in your life , Keep a smile on your face and be pleasant to everyone . Your smile will be contagious , everyone will be happier and you may even start to like the job a bit
1 June, 2006 at 8:50 am #222441I am with Drivel here! There is no such thing as a ‘crap job’ as it is always down to the people working with you that makes or breaks it. I have watched the Life of Grime programmes with delight. From street cleaners to morgue attendants, they are all characters and seem to enjoy filth and muck and the dregs of life they come across. The programmes filmed in New York were fantastic. The rat catchers who were afraid of rats  and the no nonsense street cop – I would do as she told me! Just now they are in the fine city of Edinburgh and it is just as enlightening. I hate manufactured shows like Big Brother but stuff like this makes me want to grab a bin liner. :)

Aww what a nice way to look at things and very true. I was in job I hated for years, and can say that through no fault of my own, just medical reasons, I had to leave that job. It might have taken a while but i am now doing a job I thoroughly enjoy. Which is amazing for me cos It was doubtful id ever work again.Sometimes things seem low but there is always a way back up. Even if it takes time.
