….trying desperately to “convict” Nick griffin and mark collet?
Those who know anything about this “trial”, know theres no hope of finding Mr Griffin and the BNP’s publicity director Mark Collett guilty.
Is it wasted money, and a free advert for the BNP?
Free Speech Two, gets under way on friday 30th june, with a preliminary hearing at Leeds crown court.

They are in court for alleged “race hate” charges.
The CPS.
From the BNP website “The CPS confirmed it wanted a retrial just weeks after the acquittal – a move which shows that this is Labour inspired vengeful persecution of members of an opposition political party”.Whatever you might think of the BNP, good or bad, the right to express your own personal feelings, in private meetings, is a fundamental human right which we SHOULD all have.

23 June, 2006 at 9:34 pm #227746You cannot prove there’s any connection between the Government and decisions made by the CPS.
Therefore, it’s a post based on pure fantasy!23 June, 2006 at 9:52 pm #227747@Ow£n Ka$h wrote:

Therefore, it’s a post based on pure fantasy! There is a trial hearing on friday. If only it was fantasy, not the waste of taxes, spent to try and criminalise a small but legal political organisation, who spoke their opinions privately, in a democratic country where free speech is adored.
Should you be allowed to speak your mind, in you home or private meetings you may have?
Would it be justifiable for your employees to then waste your own money trying to criminalise you?
THAT would be fantasy, a banana republic.
23 June, 2006 at 9:57 pm #227748No Fraulein emma! A banana republic would be New Labour prosecuting the case, as you have implied in the starting of this thread.
The truth is, a independent body (CPS) is prosecuting the case.23 June, 2006 at 10:09 pm #227749@Ow£n Ka$h wrote:

The truth is, a independent body (CPS) is prosecuting the case. The CPS is a government department responsible for prosecuting criminal cases investigated by the police in England and Wales.
New Labour are the government…
So, can you think of a reason why new labour and their front line boys and girls at the cps, should be wasting OUR money trying desperately to stiffle free speech?
Not only that, but political speech that they dont agree with.
Just imagine if they could win this, they could stiffle/ban ANY political debate that they dont agree with. They could destroy for their own benefit, our freedom to vote, freedom to speak our minds. The old communistic reds of “new” labour.
PROTECT YOUR FREEDOM.

The CPS is independent of government.

Don’t they all equate to the same thing? Employees of the Crown? And isn’t the Crown really the Government of the time?
Yes an interesting point to raise Geoff. I wouldn’t necessarily agree with Owen’s statement.
The plain fact is that yes it is the CROWN Prosecution Service but I believe that in this instance the Crown referred to is in fact our constitutional monarch and not the Government as such. (Interestingly enough it is of course Her Majesty’s government).
23 June, 2006 at 10:34 pm #227752If the Tory Government took over tomorrow the staff at the CPS would remain the same.
You’re beginning to sound as stupid as Fraulein emma PB! -
