A regular MP earns around £60,000 a year to what the Prime Minister earns, which is around £150,000 a year. Then you have expensies, these range depending on the MP/PM, upto £150,000 a year.

So on a 40 hour week basis, a regular MP will earn roughly £30 per hour. Tony blair, £85 per hour. Ministers, roughly £60 per hour. Oh yes, its very important they decieve you, its a great earner.

There is a thought around politics, that candidates in the past, got into politics because they cared about their community. Now they just spin you around until you’re too dizzy to know the difference.

Would we have more dedicated truth tellers, if they got minimum wage?

Do the 646 MP’s, Ministers and the PM, really deserve £30 -£85 per hour, plus massive expensies totally upto £200,000 per year?

I didn’t put the 4th vote option in there.

I think they should be on about £30000 -£ 40000 and have their expenses cut right down to about £2000 – £5000 a year unless it is officail business.

Perhaps then they might realise how hard and how the lil changes and the taxes they put on people effect us all, and how it is ridiculous that some of the people who work their fingers to the bone or people who risk their lives every day and those who save lives every day find it hard to cope, with everyday life.

It is about time re started rewarding these people and stop giving these people pay rises less than the current inflation rate.

The obsurdity of it all is, that they vote themselves a pay rise and how much it should be. I suspect they take it in turns to go on tv and say “i voted against it”, but the previous and next time someone else does that. We should know who’s voted for it, so we can give em grief.

I cant believe that they do a job worth more than minimum wage. If its good enough for us, its good enough for them. They hardly do anything. If you write them a letter, they wont reply in person. If my constituency MP asks blair a question in parliament, blair will just froth him off.

Why do you all put up with it?

Lets face it..its not as if the majority of them are doing their jobs now is it ??? Like the loyal and trusted chatguides of JC…I think the MP’s should do it for love…not for the power trip or the perks   :P
