Getting back to Tibet briefly, wasn’t ‘The Golden Child’ Tibetian? They should be more like him, he was funny

He could march in amongst the violence and bring a pepsi can to life and make it dance. Then they’d all be united in laughter and that’s the problem solved. Then China can have the olympics (just so that I’m vaguely on topic here!)

China does not hunt whales. They banned commercial whaling in 1986. You can see exactly which nations do here.

As for their human rights record, while obviously flawed it’s not too bad when seen relatively to the really stinky places of the world. They’ve come a long way in a few years and they do have that nagging problem of keeping over a billion people fed and watered. No, I think them holding the Olympics is a positive thing, on balance. It encourages further progress under the world’s gaze. In any case, judging by Amnesty’s regional reports, you’d have a hard time finding too many places squeaky clean enough to hold the old hop, skip and jump if you were too picky.

No, I don’t need alcohol for my brainwaves. They just come natrually

Anyway, that’d work. Any problems – just send for Eddie Murphy. All he needs is the knife.

For someone that I never liked but found well educated I can’t believe you back the Chinese government and use links to use it.

Everyone to their own, I thought you would be one of the first to say no instead of reading threads.

All I’m saying is we can’t hold them in Sweden every year. On the scale of things, China isn’t such a bad place. I know people who manage to live and work there, for example, without being rousted by the stormtroopers at four in the morning and tortured before breakfast. Not something that can be said for everywhere in the world, surely?

Yes there are worse places, that probably would not be considered.

But I think it is a bad place, they wont accept criticism, they wont adapt. Surely what is happening out there at the moment would be enough to make people sit up and have a look at what is really going on out there?

Their stinky chinese medicine… killing tigers and bears etc. I know its worlds away from our culture, but it really is a medievil myth.

Killing monks is going on now, and if people do not care about the animals they should care about the humans…

    You’d think.
