I would have thought the actor who played Len Fairclough in corrie, Garry Glitter or Michael Jackson making an appeal might have carried more weight lol, infact, all they would have probably needed to have done is consulted their phone book and made a few calls to close friends to have sorted it out lol

    its the parent fault,,,,,,,,,,
why would u leave ur kids no matter what age in a hotel room in
    a strange country?
my daughters 10mnths if we take her away abroad which we havent yet
we wouldnt ever leave her in her hotel room at any age
i think its disgracefull and the parents should be prosercuted for it

Ya’ll have never made any error’s of judgement or mistakes in your lives?
They’ve made a mistake. Maybe they thought it would have been safe to nip out for 30 mins or whatver it was they were out for. They now will realise they’ve made an error.
Being prosecuted will the least thing of their worries if something has happened to this girl. They’ll have lost their Daughter, and they’ll have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
Why dont people just post messages of hope and symphathy, instead of going like a bunch of biat.ches.

Probably, BM, because the parents amongst us are sick and tired of the Media feeding frenzy surrounding this whole incident. We have endless pictures of the grieving mother, we follow her even into church and watch her being blessed by the local priest ffs!!!!

We see the Police being subjected to constant Media criticism and openly accused of everything from complacency, through gross incompetence, to professional negligence.

It’s all getting a bit too much. The public seem to be prety consistent in their view (as expressed by the majority of posts on this thread) which is that the parents were utterly and grossly negilgent by leaving their children alone and unattended.

Now we see every effing day yet ANOTHER theory from the Media being presented as fact. It’s almost as if the Media want to be the ones to solve this matter and they’re all hysterically tearing around to beat the Police to it.

i heard on the news that they have finally drawn a close to the national police getting involved   ….. And the reporter mentioned how all these people are following the mother and father to the church to show their support….Shoudnt or woudnt you show ure support by staying out there looking for her… Why arent her parents out walking about looking… fare enough pray all day but that not gonna get things moving is it.

The whole thing just seems so out place from the beginning how she got taken to how shes being looked for its like everything going in the wrong direction. We can also disagree with how the media are handling things but without them we would not have heard about this inncident. Then again atleast there are people out there looking for her, i mean how long was it till we found out about those other two little girls was a couple of weeks werent it.

Being blessed by the local priest?? FFS.
And YES, both parents have been GROSSLY negligent.
My parents have twice now taken all 3 of my children away for a week to Majorca. I know that whilst they are in my parents care they are totally safe. I never have any worries about it atall. If you even sugested to my father that they lock the kids in the apartment whilst they went out for a meal, he,d probably punch you. It,s just totally unbelievable that ANY parent would do that.
As a parent, it,s your natural instinct to want to know where your children are at ALL times, and that they are safe.
And now, that poor innocent 3 year old is paying the price of her parents incompetence.

I agree BAT, i would only trust my mother and father to care for my girls EVER!
I think the parents are a guilty as the “snatcher” for leaving them alone in a room all 3 of them!!!!!
ALL the faily look far to cool and calm for my liking, i have a 3 year old daughter and to go through what Mrs. Mcann is going thorugh i would be beside myself with fear and out searching for my baby!
News reports that the family ARE going to celebrate lil Maddys 4th birthday in her absence WTF?!?!?! They have no idea what that little girl is going through she could be crying and screaming and they are going to have a party for her?
Lets hope its not during the twins nap time incase they leave them alone again  All makes me sick to be honest!

jee’s O…. this fair gettin strong with comments…. so many folks wishing to judge the parents…. word of warning each one of us have made a mistake with ‘our children’ at some point of their lifes’. I do hope you or another mother or father has to be put in this situtation and know the so called ‘everyone sending their best wishes and thoughts’ their a few saying they deserve what has happened…

can anyone say they havent left their child in a buggy and nic’d into a shop for a moment…?? thought the child was with the other parent till you both realise there not..?? left your child in the car and popped into a shop..?? there’s loads of comparsions…

I think now the media and us folks chatting about are making it a witch hunt for the parents… I think they have suffered enough…. there’s lot more parents out there that should be strung up and hung out to dry…. yeah they shouldnt of even put their children in this situtation but its happened…. lets just hope and pray that today that poor wee lass should be having her 4th birthday party surrounded by the people whom love her… we can’t even imagine what that poor lass is encountering at present… instead of sprouting out this and that…. stop…. and think of that Lass…. and what YOU would be going through at this moment if that Lass was your flesh and blood… you can tell by the way her parents body language if they could turn back time… and they blame themselves…

Mary, NO I have NEVER left any of my kids in a pushchair whilst I went into a shop. Nor have I EVER left them in a car whilst I went into a shop. It just wouldnt, happen. Simple as that.
If I,m out with my kids and I need to go to a shop then they come with me. End of story.
As for what her parents are going through, well I can tell you NOW, I certainly wouldnt be going to church to be “blessed” by the local priest ffs. Nor would I be talking to the media. I,d have had to have been sedated by now, because I would be hysterical at the thought of what could be happening to one of my children. And I sure as hell wouldnt be having a birthday party in her abscence either. That would be the LAST thought on my mind.
The parents of this little girl have been negligent beyond belief and it,s Madeline who is paying the price of that negligence.
