Thats SUCH a media spoonfed comment fast, basically youre saying the people who oppose or criticise anything are supporting it as much as those who DO support it, and you cant see the total lack of any logic in that?
Its no different to saying the people who revolted against the aristocracy in france were no different to those who supported it, that the people who fought the nazis in WW2 were no different to those who were consciencious objectors or more recently the people who marched to make the pole tax get scrapped or those who voted on the online petition to offset the road tax by the mile system were all CONTRIBUTING to each of those as much as the people who supported them
The only people thats true of is the ones who stay totally silent and the ones who do actively support and encourage the things in question
The media is a business, they rely on public opinion, interest and support to make money. So negative views, boredom and disdain for what they do IS listened to and considered
Trying to say opposition is the same as support is a rather outdated yet still sometimes used left wing spin tactic that most people nowadays can see right through when its used SO blatantly transparently
But even if a negative opinion of something wont instantly make a difference it should still be aired because for each person who does air it several others who because of media brainwashing didnt want to be the first to express it will then feel comfortable doing so
It seems a hell of a lot of people are buying papers and watching the news IN SPITE of this media circus at the moment rather than because of it, and the more dissenting voices that are speaking the more the media will get the message about it
Only total silent apathy would be “contributing” towards it
Infact the only hypocrisy here is the people who dont make as much noise about all the other children from this country who go missing or get killed in every single case but ONLY do so when the media encourages them to do so, ONLY do it when the media makes it publicly and socially trendy to go on and on and on and on inanely incessantly about it
To me this is consistently just another girl whos gone missing, another girl whos parents might be involved, yet another case of crappy parenting, just another news story no worse or better than the countless hundreds in my lifetime that have been the same, another person I dont know, have never met and have no vested interest or emotional reaction to or for so thats consistency
Reacting differently to ones where the media evokes a pavlovian trained response of an exagerated public response to SOME cases and mass silence for others IS hypocrisy, and posts like mine are a reaction to THAT rather than the case itself

Although how that is relevant to either the thread or the post it was in response to isnt really clear
Unless we’re to assume its the rather common antic of attacking the poster when you dont actually have anything valid to say as way to appear to be posting SOME kind of response despite it being totally worthless in any meaningful way
You seem to do that a lot fastcars I’ve noticed, you totally avoid responding to the topic being discussed but instead either nit pick the posting or whine about the poster
Not making assumptions here, but that IS usually the rhetoric of someone who cant actually disagree with whats been said or just has nothing worthwhile to say, otherwise they would say something with a point rather than airing petty personal issues or they would just stay silent, but I wouldn’t assume thats the case here as I’m sure you have your own issues causing you to post that way
