    BREAKING NEWS ON SKY NEWS…..

Gerry McCann is on his way to the airport cos he’s flying back to the UK. Though it has not been confirmed if he will be flying economy or business, whether or not there will be an in flight movie, what the in flight meal will be or indeed whether or not he will eat the meal.

Sources close to the family suggest, however, that he will probably go to the toilet beforehand so as to avoid going on the plane on the off chance that he may go in after someone has been for a dump or perhaps peed on the seat.

We will keep you updated with more news as it reaches us.

    Class :D

Seriously though, it’s getting a bit out of hand.

Remember little Sarah Payne? Her parents were given some help and did the round of public pleas to her captor to return her safely and we all to a certain extent shared their grief and disbelief at this innocent wee girl’s disappearance.

Not once though can I remember her parents being chastised or belittled by the general public for being unconcerned or for being “bad parents.” She had been happily playing with her siblings when it occurred and our hearts went out to her brothers and sister who were safe.

This case is different for more than a few reasons. Namely because Madeline hasn’t been found yet but also because of her mother and father’s lack of vigilance. It’s also different because little Madeline was taken from a foreign country. The outpouring of sympathy for Madeline is warranted and comforting to see, but a bigger deal is being made out of this case as “one of our own” was taken while she was in a different country. It automatically gets our backs up and makes us angry and more willing to do more, even if it’s a simple pledge of money or by making people more aware of what happened in order to keep other kids safe and sound.

The media in this case is very important, it keeps us up-to-date with the latest news about her disappearance and is obviously important to her family who are using the media to keep Madeline constantly in the news, therefore keeping people aware of the situation incase they have any information they may be able to use. But… I am getting a bit tired of it to be honest. If there’s no new news, we then see pictures of her family going to church, we see pictures of people awash with yellow ribbons and see “celebrities” campaigning on Madeline’s parents behalf (like the sick ba$tard that took her is gonna be convinced to hand her back courtesy of an appeal by Beckham) jeezus!

Maybe I’m getting cynical in my old age, but I feel that Madeline’s disappearance is now playing second fiddle to her grieving family. What about her brother and sister? What about the parents being dragged over the coals for leaving three young kids alone? Is that still to come? Can’t the media donate some money or spend some money going to places that Madeline has apparently been seen? Most of these may be hoaxes or misleadings but surely it’s worth taking everything into consideration incase they miss something?

I think we all need to take stock, hug our kids a little tighter, be a bit more vigilant and remember Maddie, not her parents.

Imagine what it must’ve been like for the poor sod who sat next to him on the plane. That’s one way to get out of holiday mode anyway.

I posted this on my site – and, nobody really knew how to respond.. so.. I’m going to see if I get the same response here..

Now, don’t take my post wrong. I care a great deal about children, and I’m usually the first to call for kidnappers and such to be hanged.

But, why has Maddie got all this publicity, and all the other thousands of missing, kidnapped, beaten, raped & murdered children aren’t worth a shit?

Sure, it was nice of people to give money towards finding Maddie etc – but to me, they’re all hypocritical bastards. What about all the other missing, beaten, raped, kidnapped & murdered children?

Why doesn’t anybody care about all those? Why only this one child? What makes this one child more important and special than all the other missing children?

Why doesn’t the press & the police put as much effort into finding all the other children?

Silence is actually surprising, I said something pretty similar towards the beginning of this thread and was sniped at for being so “insensitive” lol

The thing is tho, as I also said, its a pavlovian response, people, sadly the majority are flea trained to jump when the media tells them to, they respond to the hype because socially they MIGHT be frowned upon if they dont, and even dissenters for the most part wait for someone else to vocalise disdain before uttering their paltry “me too”, never wanting to risk being the first incase the majority dont side with them

Its also to a degree people buying solace, self worth and justifying their existence

Knowing that such things now are so commonplace and that each person COULD put more effort, feel more and react more to each and every occurence or be more proactive, but they arent

So when theres a massively exagerated media farce like with this one they go overboard like that will make some imaginary balance equalise

Totally pathetic on so many levels, but also totally understandable and totally commonplace

Fair point and it is strange how this is being taken much, much more seriously than other similar cases. But I reckon it’s getting so much (too much I reckon) media attention is due to the fact she’s been snatched in Portugal so the chances of her being taken out of the country are probably deemed higher than if it happened in Britain. Therefore, there is a need for more exposure.

But I am getting sick of all this ‘Breaking News’ etc that tells us sweet FA.

Exactly, Uber. (Could an awkward, weary silence on the subject also be a sign that they actually aree – but are too afraid to agree publically? )

Why hasn’t Richard Branson given money towards finding other lost or kidnapped children?

Why hasn’t the generous Scottish businessman who offered a £1,000,000 for information on Maddie, also offered money for information leading to the prosecution of paedophiles and child rapists?

I think Maddie going missing is nothing more than a farce. It’s been hi-jacked by heartless pr*cks such as Richard Branson just to get a bit of publicity. What kind of an evil, savage tosser would use a kidnapped little year as publicity?

    These people should be hanged.

This an ariel view of the apartment the McCanns were staying in and the tapas resturant they were dining in when Maddie was snatched. I think whoever took her is miles and miles away by now. I don,t think she,s going to be found. Would be nice to be wrong, but I don,t think so.

From this picture alone you can probably work out that their ridiculous story of visiting their three children every 30 minutes was utter nonsense. It would have taken several minutes to walk each way … much less spend any time in the flat.

I wonder who is looking after Mrs McCann’s remaining children while she is posing for the Media photo opportunities every day???

You all sit here moaning and groaning about the media circus surrounding this case but in your own little way you are ALL contributing to it. Especially when I see people posting aerial photos of where the child’s parents ate and their daily routine from sunrise to sunset. The Sun didn’t dedicate 28 pages of its newspaper to this story like you lot have done in here. I applaud you all for your hypocrisy =D>
