Extremism is no different in whatever guise it chooses to portray itself Bass- thankfully we’ll never have a BNP government.
Bets on both Tories and Labour make crime and immigration the cornerstones of the next 3 years policy before election in 2009/10?

I found it most impressive that TAD and Becky (two of our less than positive proponents of immigration and multiculturalism) supported the Sharia law imposed sentence- far be it from me to suggest they were jesting!
Why bring me into it, all i said was “a LEGAL revenge”
Think he is just being an a r s e because i dont share his ‘love’ for the immigrant.
Nah, just found it comforting and somewhat ironic that one of your basic perceptions of justice was no different from Sharia law which is an extreme islamic ideology. Kinda funny
Jeez, as for my love of immigrants, not sure about that- I like lots of people, love a minimal few- I know so many people who have anything but pure english blood in them- me current wife is an immigrant (half irish) and me first wife was BWI- never considered that I love immigrants over anyone else- just like people for who they are
I have pure english blood and have a family tree reading…… :D
As for immigrants the word makes me laugh as my in laws are all Irish, and some are ok but FIL is a p r i c k .
LOL My hubbys side (well his grandparents and relatives before them) were all scottish, Peterhead. I have pure English blood but that doesnt make me a Bigot 8)
becky n tad- I don’t think I ve ever called either of you a racist, bigot or any other derogatory names, nor would I- I can disagree with someone without having to insult them.
I don’t think I meant pure english blood meant you were a bigot- my family tree is english through and through (although a little bit of welsh is creeping in now!)- the point about the BNP to me is non white immigrants will be offered voluntary repatriation as if they were some kind of pariah! If they were serious and genuine, they’d offer it to all immigrants of all description!
Anyway enuff of that- a) I hope you voted cos it’s what makes a democracy and b) If you did vote BNP, was your constituency one of the ones who returned a BNP councillor in Birmingham?
PS what is FIL? Excuse ignorance!
LOL Its not ignorance. FIL means father in law.

Wigga and wears blinkers springs to mind here!
I would also have added an ignorant p r i c k but i feel p r i c k s are probably fairer in their thinking. (ie have more brains).

So you’re against a 16 year old boy getting justice for his father’s murder?
I am aganst it when it is done this way. :(
Yes, by all means, have the killer executed, but to allow a young boy to become a killer himself in carrying out the execution is unbelievable.
But you did suggest a firing squad in your post Tox, and I think that would be a better way of doing things.
I agree with you Squeezy in that its wrong to make the boy a murderer himself. It gives off a very mixed and unsavoury message to me. I have said before on many other threads that I’m against death penalties but if its within a particular country’s laws then at least it should be done humanely otherwise we are no better than the person who committed the crime in the first place.7 May, 2006 at 6:44 pm #212835“Pure English blood”    No such thing. English are a mix of different European ethnic groups.
As for the boy killing his father’s killer, well I have some sympathy for him but it’s not going to change our legal system.

7 May, 2006 at 9:14 pm #212837By analyzing DNA from people in all regions of the world, geneticist
Spencer Wells has concluded that all humans alive today are descended
from a single man who lived in Africa around 60,000 years ago.According to the multi-regional model, an archaic form of humans left
Africa between one and two million years ago, and modern humans
evolved from them independently and simultaneously in pockets of Africa,
Europe, and Asia.Wells’s work and that of others confirms the more widely accepted Out
of Africa model, which says that all modern humans evolved in Africa and
then left in several waves of migration, ultimately replacing any earlier
species.Full story here.

Of course it’s true. Anyone with the most basic knowledge of British history knows that White English people are descended from various European immigrants and invaders. Even the ancient Britons originated overseas. So the idea of having “pure English blood” is nonsensical. You’re likely to be a mixture of various European ethnicities.
And, as Owen rightly pointed out, all human life started in Africa anyway.
