Just like MSN, Skype can be used purely for text or audio, webcam is not mandatory.
Oh, and when using a webcam, superfluous naughtiness is not mandatory either . . . .

(actually has Skype but strictly for chatting to normal relatives and one friend over t’seas)

I would be very wary of using skype with people who you don’t fully know…. a friend who is a puter geek told me it was easy to pinpoint your exact location when using skype… also to view files you are downloading and sites you visit.. Im not sure how true it is…. but I found this article for anyone interested

Well relatives and said friend knows where I live Mrs T…they are from real world..not cyber world….but scary indeed
I do not think i will even bother with it. I’m old fashioned enough to have a phone,both mobile and house..and most of folks id need to get a hold of in a hurry are on FB anyway. Too many negatives about having it,it seems.
