If the ethics behind the sermon are absolute and unbending, and are agreed with across all faiths, does the past and current state of the world make it impossible to live up to them ?
Because even if we try, failure seems inevitable.Which then leads to a schizophrenic (ie normal) way of living where everyone knows what is right, and invariably pretends to do so, but NO ONE actually conforms for a myriad of reasons.
We only have those who pretend.
Why even say the Lords Prayer at the christening / marriage/ funeral of loved ones if the tenets aren’t ever adhered to ?
This seems to be a universal betrayal of love to those we profess dearest..
Did ‘the messiah’ not overturn the tables of the money peddlers? Can the faithful live by these ethics in today’s world when we see our ‘leaders’ chauffeured around like Gods with immense wealth etc and so on . . . ?
Can’t people think for themselves without reference to these scriptures, do people need to be guided to the right path? If so then what does that mean? It is no secret that these scriptures along with all other such dogma has been manipulated, altered and used to justify all manner of wrongdoing in numerous faith groups. Even our own queen swore to maintain the laws of God yet watches daily as thousands lose their homes, business etc at the hands of the money lenders condemned by the very same laws.
See here how the very same scriptures/ethics were used to infiltrate and manipulate the minds of the faithful to serve the war mongers. Look all around you, there is evidence of this manipulation on all levels.Morality has been camouflaged with the paint of complacency and want, and the brush is in the hands of the so called leaders.
When it dawns on people what that blob of matter between their ears is for, they stand some chance of saying what they mean and meaning what they say and release themselves from this deviancy.Of course, you being of knowledge in essential matters will be aware of this.

Thomas`s Jesus does not prophesy an apocalypse with the coming of Gods kingdom on earth, but instead denounces all those who put their faith in such prophecies.
All those that are not awakened to the true reality of life are as the dead.
Asked when “the new world” will come Jesus points out that it is already here, but untill we are awakened we cannot see it. “What you look for has come, but you do not know it”
and later, “the fathers kingdom is spread out upon the earth and people do not see it”
The verses repeatedly stress that the “kingdom” is within us, and not, as the church has insisted, in the heavens barred to the sinner by St Peter.

then the birds shall of the sky will precede you
It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you
But the kingdom is in your centre and is about you
When you know yourselves then you will be known and you will be aware that you are the sons of the living father. But if you do not know yourselves then you are in poverty, and you are the poverty.God is love, to love is divine, divine is the truth, the truth is within us. I think if and when we all realise that we are spiritually in denial and love everybody regardless of faith, colour or creed then maybe we`ll see the bigger picture. We are all part of it, it is al part of us.
