Who is the worst serial killer of all time?
We have plenty to choose from in the UK, and there’s no shortage in the USA either.
Perhaps its not such a nice topic of chat and debate, but it does fascinate us. Every serial killer has books and films about them. Hollywood loves blood and guts. Why do we “glorify” these people?

For sheer gore….Jack the Ripper and the Yorkshire Ripper…who sadly has gone blind. awful news..got so upset I did, ‘sniff’.

I think it appears we glorify them as most people cannot comprehend why a person would want to kill multiple people for no obvious apparent reason.
I personally can understand giving someone a damn good murdering if they have done something to yourself or your family, I can understand crimes of passion and acts of vengeance, but they are usually one offs done in the spare of the moment and not necessarily premediated.
Serial killers fascinate us as they are so different from the ‘norm’ and we either fear people who are different or we study them to see what makes them different. Or we do both.
As children we are born innocent and beautiful, its very interesting researching what’s happened to people in their lives which forms who they are today and see if there is any relationship between nature and nurture, environments/upbringing and whether or not they had any kind of bump on the head.
Maybe they had the misfortune of keep meeting lots of annoying people who really peed them of so they killed them, or they get off on the thrill of not being caught and secretly want to be caught.
So many possible reasons, hence why its such an interesting topic. Maybe its even a hereditary unhingedness but that’s also unlikely as otherwise their parents would have been serial killers too. They may have the bonkers gene, my mother is my sister. So many reasons as to why.
For some reason they tend to stop (or never really started) seeing people as ‘people’ and hold no regard for their human life. They have the ability to somehow ‘reason’ that its quite ok to murder people and not lose any sleep over it.
That to me in itself, is fascinating.
14 June, 2018 at 1:30 am #1098164I mean h.h.h tortured people, yes kid death, but is it not more how they died, if whatever age of the victems died, obv the victems that suffered the least I wud of thought wud be betting than a slow painfull death.
14 June, 2018 at 1:42 am #1098169I believe most people are capable of murder, I know I would be under the right circumstances and wouldn’t feel particularly emotional about it other than the hassle of dragging the body to a deserted field in the middle of the night/ disposing of the spade in a timely fashion etc.
