senior nurses to decide who dies

Senior nurses are to be given the right to decide wether to revive patients who are graveley ill or need cpr. i personally have worries about this, as a retired nurse i know some senior nurses who are power hungry in the least, i believe the vast majority however are dedicated, and will not allow people to die unless they are for instance terminallyill and are kept alive with drugs and machinery. some patients who have terminal cancer for instance will beg to be allowed to die rather than stay alive in agony. but the fear is still there that we will find the likes of beverly allot in charge of wards and that is a real and possible fear.
