I just had an energy assessor around to do that HIP crap on my house. What an utter load of tosh… she measured my house all around the outside and then took photos of my metres and the thermostatic radiator valves and the fire etc etc for what purpose? Does anyone ever look at that crap when buying a house? All the searches they do when they make the HIP the buyer has to complete again in order to get a mortgage so what the hell is the point? It cost me 400 quid to have this done. How very annoying!!! Yet another money spinner from the government…

Hmmmm don’t talk to me about the sodding HIPS pack…… stupid bit of paper that basically tell you how eco friendly & eco efficient your house is.
Yes i know because I have just moved & yes the house might well be eco friendly & all that tosh but unless you have the all singing all dancing survey that costs thousands the chances are you’ll get shafted like me coz the vendor was a lying toad.
I’ve never bought a house alone til now & sad but true fact – It’s the biggest purchase most of us will ever make but, our decision to buy is based on a couple of 10 minute visits.
Should I ever move again, rest assured I will be asking loads more questions like …. have you ever had a water leak in the bathroom !!!! :evil: Guess who needs a new bathroom floor. :roll: :lol:Did Bodgit & Scarper install the plumbing in the kitchen?
Think you might get the drift now. Yes I am insured & it will get sorted but the mess fgs. :evil: It’s a minefield buying & selling property but buyer beware really.
