Sticking up for the people who kill animals that are not for consumption and Ive also seen you put down (for want of better words) the persons who would love to see a paedo suffer… I said in my own post it is just words and you would struggle to actually get someone to do the “job”… you’d get the people queing up but then it would all go quiet.I just find it strange you do seem to find the suffering of animals quite easyy to live with, not even a shrug of your shoulders.
Yet you seem to shrug your shoulders at human retribution, where no violence has actually occured, its just in thought, and as you say talk… a figment of speech.
Maybe Minim should have shook that tree a bit harder.

Morning Sharon. To follow on from your post. I don’t have the same sort of issues over killing animals that a lot of others seem to have. I can quite easily rationalise killing vermin (foxes, grey squirrels, rats etc etc) and culling seals (amongst other animals) as a necessity to control numbers and /or to maintain the overall health or survival of the ‘group’.
Look, in Richmond park they have an annual cull of deer. It’s necessary so as to remove from the herd all the old and sick ones so that the younger ones can breed and the overall strength and health of the herd is retained.
However, every year – year after year – the same old assortment of tree huggers, environmentalists, animal rights activists and numerous well meaning do-gooders spring into action screaming and protesting. It makes not the slightest bit of difference … the cull takes place annually in spite of their incessant campaigning and whining.
As I’ve said the retribution stuff against paedophiles is a load of hot air spouted off for effect and maybe to impress others. Beating people up or burning their homes down doesn’t solve the problem – they simply move elsewhere and carry on as before.
I do think however, that incarceration might be a solution to this. After all if a paedophile is locked up in prison, they can’t get at children can they? Since in this country we rarely if ever give ”whole of life” sentences – they eventually are released and so the cycle starts all over again.
I quite like the American idea of ”3 strikes and you’re out”. A third conviction produces a mandatory ”whole of life” prison sentence. Over time persistent paedophiles would be removed from society whereas the ‘lesser’ ones would have an opportunity to reform (if that is actually possible).
