Greed and Envy are pretty close. I voted Greed though. How can people be so consumed with greed when there are people living in 3rd World Countries that have absolutely nothing? To this day I have to clean my plate because of the guilt I have from childhood. We were very poor but my mom always reminded us that we should be thankful for what we did have. She would tell us “There are children your age that are going to bed hungry tonight”. That’s always stayed with me.
OMG snap! my mum did the same routine on me – stayed with me ever since. People who happily spend 500 quid on a handbag disgust me, you cant justify it at all when there are homeless / starving people out there, it makes me sick. Even if i was loaded i wouldnt dream spending that sort of money on materialistic things.
Do you think we were separated at birth? I feel exactly the same! I still refuse to pay full price for things. I’m always on the sale racks! I tell my husband NEVER to buy me expensive jewelry because I just don’t get it. It’s a shiny rock ffs! I have everything I need. I’ve been so blessed and I’m thankful for it.
