Voted Envy because of its potential destructiveness to most things, but i’m also torn with greed and pride too.

Greed and Envy are pretty close. I voted Greed though. How can people be so consumed with greed when there are people living in 3rd World Countries that have absolutely nothing? To this day I have to clean my plate because of the guilt I have from childhood. We were very poor but my mom always reminded us that we should be thankful for what we did have. She would tell us “There are children your age that are going to bed hungry tonight”. That’s always stayed with me.

I opted for the Original of all sin as it were..Pride, and much for the same reason Bumpkins gave for her choice of Greed – i.e I believe most (if not all) of the others spring from one tainted source. Most of the time I believe that source to be an inflated sense of self importance, need and recognition. The nearest generalisation I can equate that sullied characteristic to in this context is “Pride”.

    Innit!!!

OMG snap! my mum did the same routine on me – stayed with me ever since. People who happily spend 500 quid on a handbag disgust me, you cant justify it at all when there are homeless / starving people out there, it makes me sick. Even if i was loaded i wouldnt dream spending that sort of money on materialistic things.

Right then… Which of these sinful seven is the deadliest of them all in your opinion?
And, for the honest and candid souls out there who may wish to elaborate a little more.. does any particular one have an influence over you in life?

    It’s a great film, Pepper.

What was the sin of that fat guy who they made him eat himself to death? Gluttony I think?

I fancy watching that tonight now.

“She has a phone glued to one hand, and a bottle of sleeping pills glued to the other. She could either call for help, and be forever disfigured, or finish herself off”
