Cr*p game, few chances but again, and embarrasement. At least my home team (Scotland) did get a win today… and at least their fans accept their team is shi/te!! Top of their table too.
If we cant beat teams like todays there is no real hope for us. I was more impressed by that 18 year old black kid they had playing for them, he got took off towards the end of the 2nd half and I cant remember what his name is, but he looked very good for the future.

Have to admit, as much as I love England and want them to do well, we flicked over to cricket, at least we won that

Everything was lacking,
Emmalush is sooo correct,
McClaren couldn’t motivate a dog with 6 c0cks!
I firmly believe that McClaren is the worst England Manager in my life time, in fact, the stats prove it so far.
I am so angry, I have to end my post here………….And remember…….. Hermy is always right!
25 March, 2007 at 3:06 pm #235251Been a while since Engayland failed to qualify for a major tournament. USA 94? I think they could struggle to qualify for this one.
I would love to see Scotland making it, but it’s still a tall order. To even be in this position looking down at Italy and France (and Ukraine and Georgia) is a fantastic achievement for such a small country I believe. 8)25 March, 2007 at 3:19 pm #235252@sharongooner wrote:

I dont believe that Scotland fans accept their team is shi/te. We’re top of our table above Italy, France, Ukraine and Georgia. We’ve got a chance of qualifying from our group above some of those teams. We’ve got some good players.
In another 5-10 years with the foreign players experiment mostly over, and Scottish players coming through the ranks again, we’ll qualify consistantly for major tournaments again.25 March, 2007 at 10:49 pm #235253@Bad Manners wrote:

Weve been poor, but have you seen our fixtures
ANDORRA away
ESTONIA away
ISRAEL home
RUSSIA home
ESTONIA home
RUSSIA away
CROATIA homeWe should definately win the next 5, that would put us on 22pts.

:D You have a chance…change the name of scotland to England, then you could gaurentee qualification without the sweat.

What I mean is the Scots are happy whatever. Down here their is always an air of expectancy, we MUST win and if we dont we want to know Why. You just dont get that in Scotland, they seem to take defeat with a little less of the trauma that we have down here.
I dont know what its to do with… salaries…. expectancies………a mixture of things really.
I just know that when I watch Scotland with me old man, hes like “if we win brill, but if we dont it dont matter”.
28 March, 2007 at 10:19 pm #235255So…………. what about tonight then?
I hated the first half. As much as I understand the fans frustration, I personally dont think it will motivate any player on the pitch to boo them and sing at them with so much contempt/frustration.
Second half much better, more one touch footie and passing, goals, and Gerrard was good.
Dont really know where we go from here. I personally wanna stick with McLaren, he is only a small percent of the problem, the players have to take responsibility whilst out on the pitch and play like they do for their clubs.
Hope now we have got over the goal drout its onwards and upwards 8)
