Agree TM, Beckham is the prime example of a player who was distraught at being dropped not only from captain, but completely and has come back without cutting his nose off to spite his face.
He brings more than talent to the pitch, I just wish a bit of it would rub off.
24 August, 2007 at 12:33 am #235297I dont think its purely talent he brings its the passion id like to see rub off on the other players.
Surely as footballers they know that they are in a country capable of being able to win world cups! surely that would be enough for them to get some pride!

to be fair, you can’t really judge a player from the championship.. its silly.. just in the same way you can’t compare players from the scotish league, the prem is a whole different ball game.. you get half the time to think, you got to rely more on instict, i am sure he will get his chance though, upto him to prove doubters wrong
Going by your last post…I don’t think you have seen much of him really, have you?
At the end of the day, the kid has the capabilities infront of goal, and his movement off the ball gives him the prospect of becoming a good striker in the premier league.
A little side note for you, Matty…People were extremely surprised that Spurs brought Carrick from the championship, and he wasnt hyped up, he didn’t always play, and look what he has done and acheived? There is so much hidden talent in the lower divisions, but no one will sign them because it’s all about, “who can spend the most money” nowadays!
Give Nugent 10 months before he’s sold to Norwich City

Not as big a co ck as the scouser who missed an open goal from 6 yards which would have made it 2-0 and Euro 2008 here we come!
Team failed…end of story
