Now I know nothing about footie… not a thing…. but I know that Roy Hodgson has been appointed the new England coach on a four-year contract.

I also know that Harry Redknapp was the favourite to get the job…. Im sure footie lovers will have an opinion on the rights and wrongs of the appointment….. but I wish Mr Hodgson well in the job :D :D :D

I’m just relieved it’s not Stuart Pearce. The fact that Hodgson has been given the job shows that we don’t have a lot of choice in the managerial department.

Only time will tell. Good luck Woy, you’re gonna need it with the English press.

My suggestion would be to arrange a friendly against Scotland. There’s nothing like getting a win under your belt.

Personally, I think Hodgson is as fine a choice as any.
    Hugely experienced on many levels.
    Well worth a bash.

I’m not quite sure about the fella myself and I’ve no doubt Liverpool supporters would have an opinion.
How many clubs has he been wth now? Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Liverpool and West Brom are the ones I can remember. In a way, we’ve always had dodgy managers in the past so having Roy take over the England job is par for the course.
Let’s hope he does a better job than Glenn Hoddle, Steve McClaren and Graham Taylor did. Even I could do better than those three clowns.

This is football related so I thought I would put it here (hopes not to get told off)

I almost cried with him….. welcome back Fabrice
The man himself took his first faltering steps onto the green grass of home, blinking into the dusk. He was greeted by the sight and sound of 22,000 men, women and children on their feet, applauding him. Singing his name. On the big screen, the words ‘Welcome back, Fabrice’ served a dual meaning. Muamba blinked once, twice. The third time, there were tears in his eyes
