The question of grammar aside, I have to put in my 101 the non pronunciation of the th. How hard is it to pronounce th?? Fink? fort? etc. :twisted:
After deep consideration and fort I fink eve is right, too many of the youf today fink and speak wif the ‘f’

I cannot say words beginning in ‘th’. I always use ‘f’. So instead of sayng thought, I say, fought, or fort.
It’s true. When I was 10 and 11, I had to go to speech clinic to correct it, every bloody Thursday. And it didn’t work.
Oh dear as Eve pushes me into R101 with all the other rejects and unwanteds

i think eve’s referring to the typed word as opposed to the spoken one and not a dig at anyone with speech defects
It wasnt a dig at anyone with speech defects. I have difficulty with the letter L occasionally. I was referring to lazy speech.
I really hate it when people say fink and the like! I type in a different style than I talk, ‘cos (I would normally say because), that is what ‘peeps’ (see what I mean?!) say in jc – eg. lol – no-one says that! Actually, when I first came into jc, I wondered why ‘peeps’ were always sending their love to each other all the time! :lol:
