Not sure off hand who said it, or if you, the song liked or another in which a motorcycle portion applied…with music. All the years listened, never realized it, funny till mentioned. Went back, listened few times, and said dam….hee hee……learn something new every day….Ha Ha…..

Actually started intitive program 1993. Assume because of the many reported deaths on highways… Law enacted August 20,1997 New York State Motorcycle safety Chapter 435..

DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) also requires you to take a 15 hour training program with them and their instructors before getting a class M or MJ License.
But also has specific other requirments…
Eye protection,daytime headlights,helmet speakers one ear phone only and other considered regular requirements. Mirrors, seats and so forth…

Also Bicycle Law for children for 14 and below… required helmets…

Now seeing many people riding bikes using helmets, in professional races, everyone seen wearing helmets, eye protectors, so guess professionally required certain things as well….

Private built paths supported and trails made connecting between trails, other towns, have walked several, and still see many with helmets.
