Most of my mates have moved out of london so they can afford somewhere to live. the down side is they are doing about 600-1000 miles a week just to go to work. i used to do 160 miles a day to work and back two years ago and that used to cost me £50 a week i reacon it would be about £70 now. one mate uses the train and the season ticket cost £2500 a year plus the cab to the train station. If everyone stopped using their cars, stopped drinking and smoking the contry would be bankrupt within a year.

I can’t see why families need 2 cars.
Most school are on bus routes or in walking distant.
Most people go shopping in one car.
Most people jobs are close to there homes.
I can’t think of any reason why families need 2 cars.
If you removed your head from up yer arse maybe you would see a different picture. Not everyone lives with walking distances to bus routes /schools or even shops….. or work close to home and as i said before needs must. What would you ask them to do ….. give up work, go on the dole then you could moan some more about them taking tax payers money. Chances are the families that have two cars are families that can afford them ….. at least they are where i come from

28 May, 2008 at 5:56 pm #338727I cannot believe that people are prattling on about families owning more than one car and totally ignoring the fact that this country is being screwed over fuel prices.
The average cost of petrol in the US is just under 4 dollars a gallon, that equates to around £2.25, were paying double that, and nobody apparently gives a monkeys….
Music to the ears of the govt, the good old brit public will fork out without any complaints…no wonder were the laughing stock of Europe is it?….. :roll:28 May, 2008 at 6:26 pm #338728@polythene_pam wrote:

28 May, 2008 at 6:39 pm #338730Kevin, seriously, are you a raving lunatic?
What on earth leads you to assume that I am a ‘ benefit scrounger’ ?…….I work full time, never drawn a benefit in my entire life….
Now I dont recall ever knowingly insulting you unless provoked first, kindly afford me the same consideration…….
