There are plenty of still living scientists, or recently deceased, on that list. I just didn’t copy them all. You asked for some names, I gave them, now you’re changing the goalposts.

    Of course he is, Nem.

The reason is that he’s not serious about discussing anything.

I really really don’t care about whether anyone is a ‘BigBrain’, well-read, or whatever

    You don’t need that.

But I have no time for some here who just see life as a load of bollox and, instead of doing everyone a favour and handing round the poison pills, decide to waste everybody else’s time as well.

He worships the BigBrains, and the BigBrains are all atheists.

He’s an atheist so that makes him a BigBrain.

Discuss with him seriously and you find yourself on a hiding to nothing.

You’re utterly mindless just repeating the same guff post after post without answering any question relating to the topic going off on tangents about big brains again … case closed I’m afraid

For every Christian scientist, you will find 99 non Christian scientists.

where – in the world?? in Europe?? in Britain???

    Evidence please.

Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, all went to bed with their trousers on.

Do you know who they were? what they supposedly said? who they supposedly said it to? Do you know what they supposedly did? who they supposedly did it to? How does it affect your life today?

Peter and Paul, fly away Peter, fly away Paul.

Mustn’t forget nice but dim Timothy.

Who the hell are these guys? I’m a highly educated individual and very erudite. But I’m awfully sorry I know next to nothing about these guys, and what they supposedly said and did. Or who they said and did it to. I find it disturbing when people even mention them, let alone quote them. Who honestly can attach any kind of importance to it in this day and age? Poor sods, I pity you.

Words on a screen right? Words carved on a stone in a desert somewhere, right? Personally, I have zero interest and lay zero importance to what they all supposedly did or didn’t say or do thousands of years ago in a desert somewhere.

Who cares what was said in F2 three years ago by a load of weirdos? want to read the edited logs and quote some back at us?

Who cares what was said by the oasis near Tescos in the desert, up the road from Bethlehem 2000 years ago by a load of weirdos? want to read the edited logs and quote some back at us?

It has no bearing on my life whatsoever. Zero. And it shouldn’t have on your life either.

I think we all learned our lesson a while back on these boards as I recall,

    Religion is like a penis.

Doesnt mean that it cant be discussed civilly though.

It is not possible to discuss, let alone discuss civilly, with someone whilst the sanctimonious and pious are envisioning angels, hearing the clarions, the dervishes are whirring away and the mantra has become droningly monotonous. Ah, you’ve finally taken a break from banging your head against the wall and reciting huge swathes of Timothy and Matthew to yourself. And anyone else that will listen.

When’s your birthday? I’d like to buy you a present, a megaphone.
