IGNORANT
lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact
So in this case, without first hand knowledge of the field, by definition you would be ignorant.
25 July, 2011 at 9:49 am #474436Those of us lucky enough not to have some form of an addiction should not allow it to make unfounded judgements on those who are in a less fortunate position than ourselves. No matter how they arrived unto that position.
God ultimately is our judge and jury and Amy will be with the Angels. No doubt about it.
Edited coz of a brainfart.

25 July, 2011 at 12:41 pm #474440For what it’s worth I think Andy’s earlier post was very valid and eloquent – I wish I was able to use words in such a way.
Where’s our compassion? We all mess up, some more than others – and yes, as Taffyfish said we don’t all turn to drugs as a way out. Perhaps those that of us that didn’t, had more inner strength than she did or friends and family who were there when needed the most. The thing is, when we are at our lowest we don’t need people making harsh judgements on us, we need people to accept us for where we are and be there for us and offer support.
Sure Amy was given the opportunity to get her life back on track, but I honestly don’t think she had the strength to.
None of us walked in Amy’s shoes, just because she had a talent which gave her great opportunities in life didn’t mean that she didn’t face demons and fears and was unable to cope.
She didn’t have a wasted life – she had a very sad life at times.
I hope she is now at peace with herself.
RIP Amy
