With regard to revenge per se, my own passions and furies are instantly aroused but as swiftly banished; I either carry out the deed in the here and now, or the desire to do so suffocates as quickly as the muffled flames of my anger. This isn’t as the result of a forgiving nature so much as of a disinterested one.
The exception to my general rule, is where someone wrongs one my loved ones, but even then my response is of a terrifying and instant wrathfulness..not revenge but the apportioning of a rightful justice, the fury of all hell broken loose and married to the baleful blast of every flailing fallen angel. :twisted:Jeeze I have to concentrate sooo hard when I read some of your posts :lol:

As others have said, revenge is a wasted emotion. Anyone who feels they need to enact any form of revenge on an ex is suffering from the illusion that it will actually make them feel better. Perhaps for a few minutes or hours or even possible a day or two. But they will still be the same person they were and have the same grudges in their souls.
The best thing to do when you split up with anyone is to remember the good times, accept that it is over, and you are both better off apart, and hold close the reasons why you loved them in the first place.
Moving on is easy if you don’t carry any negative emotions with you into the future.
I am lucky that I am still talking to everyone I have ever loved, who has ever loved me, except one who died (and actually I still talk to him). I still love them, and value the times I have spent with them. It is only the poor spirited who seek revenge.
Well just to clear it up,,,,,,,,no, i don’t and woulnd’t do revenge.
What would be the point,,,,,,it just starts an endless war of words and achieves nothing.
I did think the one of selling the car for a pound was funny tho :lol: :lol: :lol:
yes i have………why, cos it made me feel better…… what did i do….i took a sledge hammer to my ex’s brand new stereo he had only played it once…….i returned it in the box it came in to him in lots of tiny pieces….he still speaks to me now :lol:

i loved all your replys thank you for that i guess your wondering why i asked i was considering it but then i thought no whats the point its only going to make me look stupid and worst make things alot nasty but it was a very complicated story but now ive relised ive got to let it go very hard some days though i often still cry when i think of him but hey ho iam sure i find someone else and maybe as another friend said to me recently you may find someone a whole lot better . why though dont men do emotions?is it that they dont feel as we do or what? they do seem to not show it either which is annoying. anyhow if anyone knows of a rich single man please post him to me very quickly ha ha
Of course men do emotions. They do all the emotions women do. Some of them have been brought up that some emotions should not be displayed openly, but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel them.
What you probably mean is why don’t men and women react the same way in the same situation? This would make things a lot simpler, but the fact is that no two women will react exactly the same in the same situation, so why expect a man to?
I once read a book called Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars or some such nonsense. It tried to explain why women react sublty differently to men and why men are the way they are. Men try and fix things when women just like to talk things over. If a man can’t fix something he just moves on to other things. Women carry on wanting to talk it over. The man has moved on to something he can fix. The woman is still trying to talk it over. She thinks he doesn’t care/has gone off her/has met someone else/is an insensitive brute etc… He thinks she’s nagging/emotional unstable/neurotic/difficult etc etc.
Well, that may be a simplification of the book. Has anyone else read it?
i do recall the book you refer too it also said that men were cave animals that when they hurt they dissapear for a while how true that one is dont know i think with people as you correctly say no one is the same either we all act differently to things good job i guess be boring otherwise lol anyhow it would be nice if there is such a thing as a decent man one that doesnt lie or cheat now that would be a gem
