By This River
Here we are
Stuck by this river,
You and I
Underneath a sky that’s ever falling down, down, down
Ever falling down.Through the day
As if on an ocean
Waiting here,
Always failing to remember why we came, came, came:
I wonder why we came. You talk to me
as if from a distance
And I reply
With impressions chosen from another time, time, time,
From another time.Spartan Fidelity/Yoshida Brothers

Hold my hand lets chase the sun
we both know something’s begun
Nothing feels that real without you
Wanna learn so much about youShining star i’ve seen your face
Everything falls into place
Nothing else seems to matter
You bring me your lovefeels so lonely
wont you show me
where i need to be
you bring me your loveFeels like a raindrop on my skin
you reaching somewhere deep within
you make my body come alive
you bring me your loveI whisper things you never knew
I can’t believe that tonight i’m here with you
you make my body come alive
you bring me your loveSee it burning in my eyes
don’t want words don’t want no lies
face anymore then words are spoken
promises always be brokenFeels so lonely
wont you show me
where i need to be
you bring me your loveFeels like a raindrop on my skin
you reaching somewhere deep within
you make my body come alive
you bring me your loveI whisper things you never knew
i can’t believe that tonight i’m here with you
you make my body come alive
you bring me your love

Nobody else here baby
No one here to blame
No one to point the finger
It’s just you and me and the rainNobody made you do it
No one put words in your mouth
Nobody here taking orders
When love took a train heading southIt’s the blind leading the blonde
It’s the stuff
It’s the stuff of country songsIf God will send His Angels
And if God will send a sign
And if God will send His Angels
Would everything be alright?God’s got His phone off the hook babe
Would He even pick up if He could?
It’s been a while since we saw that child
Hangin’ round this neighbourhood
See his mother dealing in a doorway
See Father Christmas with a begging bowl
And Jesus’ sister’s eyes are a blister
The High Street never looked so lowIt’s the blind leading the blonde
It’s the cops collecting for the cons
So where is the hope and
Where is the faith and the love?
What’s that you say to me
Does love light up your Christmas tree?
The next minute you’re blowing a fuse
And the cartoon network turns into the newsIf God will send His Angels
And if God will send a sign
Well if God will send His Angels
Where do we go?
Where do we go?Jesus never let me down
You know Jesus used to show me the score
Then they put Jesus in show business
Now it’s hard to get in the doorIt’s the stuff
It’s the stuff of country songs
But I guess there’s something to go on
If God will send His Angels
Sure could use Them here right now
Well if God will send His Angels…And I don’t wanna know how..
And I wanna know how I feel myself..
And I wanna know how I feel..U2

Remember how they always seemed to know
We had the forest in our eyes
But the earth was in our clothes
And they thought we’d fall
Not at allSo look back on the treasured days
We were young in a world that was so tired
Though it’s not what we wanted before
Even the saints had to crawl from the floor
Summers when the money was gone you’d sing
All you’re little songs that meant everything to meAnd I’ll remember you
And the things that we used to do
And the things that we used to say
I’ll remember you that wayRemember how they tried to hold you down
And we climbed those towers
And looked down upon our town
And everything you hoped would last
Just always becomes your past (it hurts)
Summers when the money was gone you’d sing
All your little songs that meant everything to meAnd I’ll remember you
And the things that we used to do
And the things that we used to say
I’ll remember you alwaysBut then this world slipped through my fingers
And even the sun seemed tired
I still cared
As I lowered you down my heart just jaded
In that moment the earth made no sound
But you were there
You helped me lift my pain into the airI still miss you
God I still miss you
I know that you are waiting there
I always thought that you’d come homeAnd I’ll remember you
And the things that we used to do
And the things that we used to sayIf it don’t hurt you
It won’t hurt me
It don’t hurt me
Then it won’t hurt you
If it don’t hurt you
It won’t hurt me that wayRemy Zero

This year’s love had better last
Heaven knows it’s high time
And I’ve been waiting on my own too long
And when you hold me like you do
It feels so right
Oh now
I start to forget
How my heart gets torn
When that hurt gets thrown
Feeling like you can’t go onTurning circles when time again
It cuts like a knife
Oh now
If you love me got to know for sure
Cos it takes something more this time
Than sweet sweet lies
Oh now
Before I open up my arms and fall
Losing all control
Every dream inside my soul
When you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain’t this life so sweetThis year’s love had better last
This year’s love had better last
‘Cause who is to worry
If our hearts get torn
When that hurt gets thrown
Don’t you know this life goes on
Won’t you kiss me
On that midnight street
Sweep me off my feet
Singing ain’t this life so sweetThis year’s love had better last ..

(George Harrison)
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right
Little darlin’ it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darlin’ it feels like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right
Little darlin’ the smiles returning to their faces
Little darlin’ it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darlin’ I feel the ice is slowly meltin’
Little darlin’ it seems like years since it’s been clear
Here come the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right
Here come the sun, here comes the sun
It’s all right, it’s all right:-k Well I don’t know how resonant the lyrics are, but I do really love the song

My mother came to hazard when I was just seven
Even then the folks in town said with predjudiced eyes
That boy’s not right
Three years ago when I came to know mary
First time that someone looked beyond the rumors and the lies
And saw the man insideWe used to walk down by the river
She loved to watch the sun go down
We used to walk along the river
And dream our way out of this townNo one understood what I felt for mary
No one cared until the night she went out walking alone
And never came home
Man with a badge came knocking next morning
Here was I surrounded by a thousand fingers suddenly
Pointed right at meI swear I left her by the river
I swear I left her safe and sound
I need to make it to the river
And leave this old nebraska townI think about my life gone by
And how it’s done me wrong
There’s no escape for me this time
All of my rescues are gone, long goneI swear I left her by the river
I swear I left her safe and sound
I need to make it to the river
And leave this old nebraska town16 January, 2008 at 8:26 pm #139469A Day in the Life
I read the news today oh, boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well, I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn’t notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They’d seen his face before
Nobody was really sure
if he was from the House of LordsI saw a film today oh, boy
The English army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
But I just had to look
Having read the book
I love to turn you on.Woke up, got out of bed
dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
and looking up, I noticed I was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
Somebody spoke and I went into a dream
AhhhhI read the news today oh, boy
Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes
it takes to fill the Albert Hall
I’d love to turn you on25 January, 2008 at 3:17 am #139470@~abbie~ wrote:
Ride A White Swan Lyrics
» T. RexRide it on out like a bird in the sky ways
Ride it on out like you were a bird
Fly it all out like an eagle in a sunbeam
Ride it on out like you were a birdWear a tall hat like a druid in the old days
Wear a tall hat and a tattooed gown
Ride a white swan like the people of the Beltane
Wear your hair long, babe you can’t go wrongCatch a bright star and a place it on your fore-head
Say a few spells and baby, there you go
Take a black cat and sit it on your shoulder
And in the morning you’ll know all you know, ohWear a tall hat like a druid in the old days
Wear a tall hat and a tattooed gown
Ride a white swan like the people of the Beltane
Wear your hair long, babe you can’t go wrongDa-da-da-di-di-da, da-da-da-di-di-da ….

25 January, 2008 at 5:53 pm #139471Well I was there on the day they-
sold the cause for the queen
And when the lights all went out
We watched our lives on the screenI hate the ending myself but it
started with an alright sceneIt was the roar of the crowd that gave heartache to sing
It was a lie when they smiled and said you won’t feel a thing
And as we ran from the cops
We laughed so hard it would stingIf I’m so wrong
How can you listen all night long
Now will it matter after I’m gone
Because you never learn a goddamned thingYou’re just a sad song
With nothing to say
About a lifelong wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I’m wrong
This never meant nothing to yaI spent my high school career
Spit on and shoved to agree
So I could watch all my heroes
Sell a car on TV
Bring out the old guillotine
We’ll show them what we all meanIf I’m so wrong
How can you listen all night long
Now will it matter after I’m gone
Because you never learn a goddamn thingYou’re just a sad song
With nothing to say
About a lifelong wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I’m wrong
This never meant nothing to yaSo go
Go away
Just run
Run away
But where did you run to?
Where did you hide?
Go find another way
Price you payYou’re just a sad song
With nothing to say
About a lifelong wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I’m wrong
This never meant nothing to you
C’mon
You’re just a sad song
With nothing to say
About a lifelong wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I’m wrong
This never meant nothing to you
