I should imagine that every hurt conceivable, barring the death he so obviously yearns for, has been visited on the man throughout his incarceration.
Does inflicting pain on another human being -regardless of how wicked he or she may be – not reduce the inflictor to the same level of depravity, if not more so?What pains been inflicted on Brady? He’s spent his life serving a justful sentence for the horrendous crimes he commited.
Exactly!!Or are we to feel sympathetic because he’s now lying on his death bed, perhaps in pain. Many people die every day, some in the most excrutiating pain, having never harmed another human being in their entire lives. Do we hear it chapter and verse in the newspapers and TV news on a daily basis, no we dont!.
I hope he rots in hell
At which point have I said we should feel sympathy for Ian Brady? What he did was unimaginably wicked and he is paying for his crime in the manner deemed appropriate by the laws of this land.
That good and gentle people are suffering horrendous lives and appalling deaths is neither of my making nor choosing, nor am I a media tycoon with the power to instruct editorial content in newspaper or television.
I do however, detest the mindset of the professional lynch mob, eager to despoil oak and elm with the swinging corpses denied them by law. If killing is evil, then ALL killing is evil.
The contorted face of righteous indignation or vengeful fury is as ugly to me as the face of the killer.31 July, 2008 at 3:55 pm #358016@esmeralda wrote:

The contorted face of righteous indignation or vengeful fury is as ugly to me as the face of the killer.Well personally i’m very happy that every conceivable hurt has landed in his lap, full square, for the entire time of his encarceration, he deserved nothing less!
I didn’t say it was your personal fault Esme with regard to the media hype that goes on, just that it does.
My own mindset isn’t one of despoiling oak and elm with a swinging corpse. I’m glad that he’s spent his life where he can do no further harm to others, i’m glad that she did too. What those two did was evil beyond belief. I do believe though, that it shouldn’t be so ”cushy” for them. Isn’t Ian Huntley now having to be called Mr Huntley!!! it’s bloody outrageous!! They should do time, and they should do hard time for thier crimes, not live in a life comfortable cell, with TV’s Computers, Computer Games, X-Boxes etc etc.
I still wish though, to the likes of Brady, Huntley, and their like, an eternal damnation in hell…..if that makes me,,,,, The contorted face of righteous indignation or vengeful, then i’m very happy to wear that particular cap.
31 July, 2008 at 4:13 pm #358017There have been worse attrocities against children since and probably before but this is the one our generation and our parents still shudder at
Probably because around this time tv’s became more readily accessibleI remember my son asking about it a few months ago and when i was telling him I had to hold back the tears
Manchester, so much to answer for..
Off topic I know but a few years ago I was with lots of children on our river banks when we noticed a carpet with a skull and bones half wrapped in a blanket
It looked gruesome and we called the police
Turned out it was a sheeps skeleton
yuk31 July, 2008 at 4:49 pm #358018yeah Di, I remember the awful stick Morrissey took for writing ‘Suffer Little Children’, with the tabloids fanning the flames and forever publishing that god-awful blonde mugshot of Hindley.
A very sensitive and moving song, performed by one who was a child living in the same area, and at the same time as those poor kids.

Personally,,,Morrisey isn’t to my taste. But,,,,,,If he took that awful stick for reminding people with his music, about what those two had done, then it has as much right to be here as the views do of everyone else here.31 July, 2008 at 6:18 pm #358024Sorry toy
I’d meant to quote what Pete said lol, blonde moment
