I don’t think they are the remains of Keith Bennett – I also disagree with the comment that he knows and just wants his mum to suffer. He’s in hospital dying at the moment, he was on scene telling the police where all the remains of his victims were back when they were digging them all up – so why would he simply hold out on ONE set of remains after giving the rest up? It makes no sense, there’s no motive for it.

Papers seem to have forgotten to mention that these moors are located in Lancashire, they also forget to mention that Lancashire & Yorkshire had a huge war where thousands upon thousands of people were killed. The papers also forget to mention that many battles took place upon both the Yorkshire and Lancashire moors, remains that would have been buried, swept away in rivers or simply embedded amongst the scenery only to be uncovered hundreds of years later.

These remains could be the remains of anyone. Usually if remains are found after 30 odd years, there’d still be pieces of clothing or personal possessions laying around. After hundreds of years, however, these things can rot and wither away. The remains found were simply bone. No material, no clothes, no items.. just a skeleton.

Just because they were found in Lancashire people have jumped the cannon “oh it must be Ian Brady again” — the man’s on his death bed, he’s given all known locations of his victims, he’s not holding out. He’s weeks, perhaps even days away from rotting in hell for eternity, the evil bastard he is will get what he deserves very soon – but the fact of the matter is you just cannot squeeze blood out of a stone. You can’t force someone to tell you what they don’t know.

It’s probably the remains of a War of the Roses soldier or something. Thousands of civil war remains have been found up on the moors, from Saddleworth in Lancashire to Ilkley in Yorkshire.

Was it Brady that killed the Sheep?

I’d squeeze something out of him even if it was just few screams

Tommy you may well be right. They could be anyones remains, who knows? Thing is, it was a bit silly of the media to release this info until they were sure. It must have got Winnie Johnsons hopes up.

We,ll have to agree to disagree over wether or not Brady does know where Keith is buried and just won,t tell her. I still say he does know. Yes I know he probably, (thankfully) doesn,t have long to live, and you may wonder what he has to gain by witholding that info from her? I,ll tell you my theory. It,s because he,s sick. He gets the same pleasure out of torturing that poor woman in just the same way he tortured her son before he murdered him. You have to remember, this is a man who buried an axe in a 17 year old boys skull. It obviously gives him a sick satisfaction out of seeing that poor woman suffer.

She,s been waiting for over 40 years to bury her son and Ian Brady knows where he is. He,s just too sick and evil and twisted to put her out of her misery and tell her. Bastard.  I can only hope that when he does die, it,s painfull. He deserves it.

A shrewdly considered analysis of the situation by Smiley, and absolutely spot-on with the assessment of Ian Brady’s intentions. Blood, indeed, can not be squeezed from a stone.
The passage of time, the geographical and historical circumstance of his hasty interment, render it likely that only – if ever- by purely accidental means, will the remains of Keith Bennett be returned to his mother.

Then give her the gun and let her visit Brady cause once he’s dead any hope she had of burying her son has gone she might take some solace in killing him. If he does know fuck being civilised i say make him talk by whatever means necessary

    #358003

But the point is.. he doesn’t know. What could he possibly gain from holding back on ONE set of remains when he’s given up the rest? The man is dying, he’ll soon be rotting in hell. He’s in hospital on his death bed at the minute.

Bless… re-iterating Charlie… nice to see he still has his young boys behind him (literally)
