How does Christianity NOT work with the big Bang and evolution???
What a stupid question. Have you never heard of Adam and Eve? or God created the world in 6 days? Is it my turn to be patronising towards you now as you seem dumb enough to not know and have to ask such a silly question? As we both rightly point out, not all Christians believe in creationism, BUT.. many many millions do, as well as Muslims. x

The legend of Adam and Eve is not accepted by the main Christian churches as literally true. It is theologically true – that is, it makes a point about a Fall from Grace, in however primitive a way.
Many, not all, Protestant churches do.
So you’re creating a false little triumphalism by saying what we both agree on and then claiming I’m stupid for agreeing with you.
My argument wasn’t on numbers of people. A lot of people have a Sunday School Christianity which teach them about Adam and Eve and they never think further..they either continue in their childhood belief or they think what a load of codswallop and grow up, either to become atheists or to take a more grown-up approach to Christianity.
My argument is nothing to do with numbers; it’s to do wiht compatibility of Christianity with the Big Bang theory.
The reason Dawkins and yourself want to identify Christianity with the creationist enemies of science is that you don’t want to deal with the more grown-up approach. Dawkins becomes even more abusive than you when it’s pointed out to him that modern theologians aren’t as primitive as those he attacks.
Confront a genuine argument, alfie, don’t crate an aunt sally to knock down.
Actually……people seem to assume that you have to believe in science or religion as 2 separate things. If you believe in God or a god……then that is greater than science, evolution or man kind’s thinking in general. After all…..God must be far more powerful than man or he wouldn’t be God in the first place.
Lot of statistics in this post…….isn’t that just Mankind watching statistics? No matter what votes one gets, the truth will always remain the same. Man always needs votes and numbers and statistics to prove a point of power and influence.
Here’s a question for any one……..Man will always need your vote and women 2…..but think of this……does God need any one’s vote to be God?
The big bang gives glory to science…….science is a man made term to work out how God did it in my opinion.

Mister q, the statistics are just past of alfie’s modus operandi.
He is the master of the non sequitur. He creates an argument with strong evidence to disprove a point that nobody has made in this thread. He then laces it wiht a bit of abuse to throw people off the track.

so i challenge all of you to write a book 1005 authentic about every conversation you’ve had with a person you’ve met
Isn’t that the Hadith aswell as the Bible’s New Testament? Does that mean Allah MUST be God as well and Mohammed is his messenger?
If I did write such a book could I then credibly claim to be writing God’s word? and if not, why not?
