i think it depends on what your situation is … i mean i stayed in a marriage where i was being cheated on but i was able to deal with the situation i tolerated my x’s mood swings and abuse as i wanted to live a life full time with my children … i would probably still ave been there to this day it didn’t matter to me what i was going thro as long as the kids were ok …. i mean they used to say ya had to work at it to keep things together , sometimes these days people give up far to easy …. you have to try if you think there is something worthwhile to rebuild

My thoughts on relationships:
Hmmm have them with Pets, they love you unconditionally as long as you feed em and scratch em behind the ears, anything else is just way too complicated, painful and expensive and distinctly lacking in any form of reward :)

I agree, but how much trying does it take? What if all you do is try but never achieve anything?
but i was trying for the sake of my children to bring them up in a stable relationship all be it stormy one at times but one that showed togetherness n some kind of love … it wouldnt ave mattered to me if i had been tryin all my life cause as far as i was concerned my roles had changed in life it wasn’t about me gettin the best for me anymore it was about me gettin the best for my children … after the break up i used to take them home and they woiuld cry that they didn’t want to go home .. to see their pain at those times was a far worse pain than anything i had to take as a married man
But that was like lying to your kids, which cant of been good??? I dont believe in a couple being together for the sake of their kids at all, esp if its an unhappy relationship. It affects the way they see relationships in the future and I believe it affects them emotionally and mentally esp when older.

but i’ve seen the effect that a break up has on the children emotionally and that is something that had devastating effects on them it is only now as late teens they are able to find their way thro it with any kind of comfort what so ever
thank you woo i guess there are a greater number of people who try to make it work than we ever know about …. and thanks for the mail i would of replied but don’t know how to yet i did try and as soon as i work it out i will reply :D
