No, if you think about it it really doesn’t make any difference. But the public just want to tell the Judicial System and the Government “we told you so”. A point needs to be proven in the eyes of the public. But infact the very fact Venebles is behind bars has proven the point, end of.
Some people cannot every be reformed I guess. And I go back to a previous point.
For someone who was so young to be capable of such evil, to be locked up and institutionalised through teenage and adolescence years, testing years for most kids, years when even the best behaved child can go off the rails….cannot be reformed. Venebles needed to be locked up for these years for sure, then when he turned 18 he should have served a life sentence in an adult prison.

I really can’t imagine why anybody would want to ‘reform’ criminals. If they offend, simply lock them up and toss away the key – that way they cannot commit any further crimes in our society.

I agree really, why would anyone want to reform someone like him, the countless others who kill, and for what, what are the reasons behind it, we never know that one do we, what we hear is manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, or in the case of these two, what exactly were their reasons for doing what they did.

No, the only way to deal with this kind of :-k I cant even think of what to call them, certainly not human beings, is to lock them up and throw away the key, never allow them freedom again, never take the chance that they may do it again, to someone else, and destroy more lives
