How do you know shes not getting the pet on a whim? How do you know the reason shes getting a pet is to counter the boredom? How do you know she hasnt discarded other pets?

Truth is I love animals
Thats why I need to give serious consideration to what i choose to get
Used to get the kids pets when they were younger
but thing is
i think i got them more for me
I certainly ended up caring for them and I was one who shed more than a tear when they died (usually from old age)

well what about a canary or a chincilla, or a budgie?

They will get into your heart and require a lot (but not as much as some) attention?
