I was lent a book, which I enjoyed (put down the girly crappy one, to be reinstalled as you don’t need a particularly good memory to work out what is going on – ah, bliss sometimes!) called ‘The Woodcutter’ by Reginald Hill – the beginning is a bit ‘odd’ and I would have put it down if it hadn’t been the fact that it was recommened, which I highly do – good read! Again a who dunnit, did he, didn’t he, keeps you turning those pages!!
Also, this book is part of a book group called bookcrossing.com – quite interesting – if you get given a book with this sticker on it, you put the ID of the book into the website and imput your views on it, and see others’, and also where it has been – anyone else come across this? I would join, but I like keeping the books I read! As I have said, I buy my books from a stall in the local market, but I have told my friends if they see a book with my name in it, it means it is crap and not to buy it! lol

2 March, 2012 at 6:18 pm #460455Anyone read ‘The Bone Woman’ by Clea Koff?!!
How feckin’ dare Cameron say we are going to help the Syrians as ‘we’ did the Bosnian’s!
Anyone else got a viewpoint on this?!
I dunno atm if I am right, left, middle or wot – as per I have been since I can remember!!!

21 April, 2012 at 12:06 pm #460456Just read ‘The Chameleon’s Shadow (hehehe) by Minette Walters – as all of hers, I thoroughly enjoyed it! :D
30 April, 2012 at 12:11 pm #460457Has anyone read the IN Death series by JD Robb? a series of detective stories set in the near future. I love them because of the way the characters develp throughout the series. I enjoy the Falco novels by Lindsay Davies for the same reason. I also like them because i enjoy stories set in different times.
Another enjoyable series is the Sister Fidelma novels set in ancient Ireland. The depth of knowledge of the laws of those times is fascinating.

Before I go to Sleep
Wow.
Definitely worth the hype it has created (in my humblest of opinions!)
13 June, 2012 at 9:02 am #460459Shadows On The Mirror by Frances Fyflield – again lent to me, if not, I would have put it down – I do NOT recommend her, and will deffo NOT buy another/attempt to one! Says she has joined the ranks of PD James and Ruth Rendell – I don’t think so!!!!!!!!! :?
20 June, 2012 at 8:57 am #460460The Inspector and Silence – Hakan Nesser – similar style as Steig Larsson, but with a sense of humour – brilliant!
2 July, 2012 at 12:59 pm #460461Just read Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King – oh boy, has he changed his style!
