Edited because it seems there’s just no point bothering in this place
29 January, 2011 at 9:09 pm #460403I read today’s Sporting Life and it scared the crap out of me, I can tell you.
So of course I rang my bookie but his secretary said like all calls are recorded + see terms and conditions sub-paragraph 11 smallprint bit 67.
Guess I’m fu.cked huh ?

20 March, 2011 at 4:59 pm #460404There is a point, and a very good point it is too.
But if you can’t suffer the slings and arrows of erroneous and random posting on a message board then it’s really best not to bother.
15 October, 2011 at 7:31 am #460405I came into this thread because I was wondering if there is somehow a way to create a jc book club?!
I read a lot. Thrillers, contemporary and sometimes complete crap to lighten my mood!
I would love to recommend the books I enjoy and discuss, maybe in pm, my opinions with someone else who has read the same one. I say pm, as it would be a shame to ruin a book for others who haven’t read it.
Not sure if this is a worker or not?!
You interested memory?
ps. edited twice cos my typo’s!

30 October, 2011 at 3:35 pm #460408Crikey, a reply! Good one! :D
That’s interesting ‘cos I am reading ‘Nineteen Mintues’ by Jodi Picoult. It is fictional, but about a high school shooting in America. She has put in the acknowledgement that she has spoken to some survivors. It is written through the eyes of all the characters involved, including the shooter.
So far, quite ‘heavy’, but well written.
I haven’t read any of her books before and she was recommended to me. So I will be interested in what other topics she has written about.
