Theres 10 billion tones of coal in britain alone.

You can’t run cars, lorries, planes or modern trains on coal! OK, we could bring back dirty, inefficient steam locomotives and we could make gas from coal to fuel vehicles but it’s old, dirty technology. Coal is used in several of our largest power stations and will continue to be but, despite talk about exotic emulsions using coal dust I think it’s almost certainly a dinosaur fuel.

A conservative government nationalised Rolls-Royce when it went bankrupt in 1971 – if that was possible, anything is, in terms of re-nationalisation.
