hmmm i dunno cas when i was in hospital sept 2006 there seemed to be loads of staff walking around not doing a great deal tbh i dunno how the pecking order works but there seemed to be cleaners then girls in pink tabards then others in green tabards then just one or two and at night just the one nurse doing all the work, apart from the blue tabard girlies who seemed qualified to take ur blood pressure.
Too many indians and not enough trained nurses in my opinion, if they took away 6 of the giggling not doing much girlies and replaced them with a well paid qualified nurse it would have been alot better.
Waiting to be discharged i had to wait 3 hours cos one single poor nurse was trying to look after the whole ward alone as a (qualified allowed to do the discharge)and kept getting called away she looked like she was gonna pull her hair out.
and i may be wrong but what exactly was the purpose of these other girls ? apart from maybe bed making and bed baths they didnt seem to do alot.
There certainly was not a shortage of staff on the ward but as i said none that were much use for 3/4 of their shift.
