Sorry … am I the only person who finds this post gross???
A bloke can easily avoid being accused of rape by clearly stating his intent and asking if the woman agrees to it. (otherwise known as consent)
I think there are probably also loads more unreported rapes (including marital rape) than women who cry wolf, but this kind of thread puts the focus in the wrong place.
Rape is a terrible thing, which should not be treated with any levity.i think you clearly missed the point

a post is where you hang a gate20 November, 2011 at 7:46 pm #483278Erm … i was referring to your post, not the whole thread, thin (it says by your name you have made over 4000 … or are they all garden posts?)
My second line relates quite closely to your point – if a man wants to be sure he will not be accused of rape, he simply needs to obtain clear consent beforehand, thus protecting himself from any malicious accusations.
Sorted.

But on serious note i agree with Sassy on its just as bad when a woman cries rape for attention or out of embarresment.

A serious point Lucy, are you saying that Irish law doesn’t recognise that a woman can rape a man, or does that include rape of one male by another male?
22 November, 2011 at 4:29 am #483281Its impossible for a man to be raped unless drugs are involved!! or he’s bum raped.
If a guy gets it up he obviously wants it!!22 November, 2011 at 6:50 am #483282@battywoman wrote:

If a guy gets it up he obviously wants it!!If I’m assuming what I think you mean here, then I find it disturbing….a male on male rapist will generally prey on somone who is weaker in stature than themselves…therefore aside from the shock of attack and fear of maybe being told you wil be killed if you scream or struggle etc, why would a male victim be any different to a female victim and through sheer fear hope they are at least left alive after the attack? Not many victims male or female would struggle if someone had a knife to their their throat or indeed a gun to their head….so I disagree with the point he must have wanted it if rape was succesful

That is a common belief and it affects the reporting of male rape and adds to the misery of male victims of rape.
Many rapists use drugs, and viagra, cialis and some stimulant drugs can make triggering hardness very easy. In many men, stimulation of the prostate via the bottom also stimulates an involuntary erection.
I understand that at the moment UK law only recognises rape as involving penetration with a male sexual organ. But although rare, a woman can be convicted of sexual assault, and of rape if she participates in the act.
I did think there had been a UK court decision convicting a woman of raping a man, but I couldn’t find a reference. However sex by an adult woman with a male child, use of drugs, threat or force to remove consent, could possibly result in a conviction for rape.
In Iraq male prisoners were forced to masturbate in front of American soldiers so it is possible to be forced to maintain an erection and ejaculation.
If only the physiology of sex was that straightforward, eh?

Nope, a woman can NOT be done for rape of a man in Ireland, or at least no case has been brought forward to this date.
Its only in recent years where men have come forward about being abused by woman but to date no man has ever said he was raped in Ireland. -
