I hate all police informers.
Not only do they financially gain but it gives them an inflated opinion of their own importance in society. Look at the consequences in nutters like this one, with his boasts in a County Court about samurai weapons.

They can justify it in rambling tapes and letters as much as they want and then hide behind copy-cat Cumbrian actions but when all is said and done it’s still good riddance.

Publicist ???? It’s a fucking circus isn’t it :shock:
It was a circus from the day it started…a media circus.
People get slated for employing someone called a publicist but I can see how helpful it must be to have someone to act as a buffer when the media go into a feeding frenzy and you really want to concentrate on getting your life back together again. The media are unscrupulous, will adopt shady practices to get what they want, badger you until you can’t take any more, report things out of context and so on, so putting it in the hands of someone who knows how to handle the media and can protect you from the worst of it makes perfect sense to me.
It’s easy to be cynical and say it’s for the money but these people are about to have their lives trawled over by the media who will make money selling papers over it and making sensational documentaries, so if anyone should be slated for capitalising on such horror it should be them.

Lets not forget that Max Clifford likes to make a bob or two also eh :roll:
He’s doing a job using his skills, same as the rest of us, it’s up to the individual whether they employ him or not. If it wasn’t him it would be another publicist, although in cases like this I think it’s more about media management than self-publicity.
It’s the public who are to blame for buying or watching the stuff the media produce

That’s the way it usually works…all calls are redirected to him, he finds ways of protecting them from the media…that’s what people in their situation pay him for, a bit different to the publicity work he does for the so-called celebs who are his bread and butter.

And theyre going to be paying max clifford out of the money they make from selling their stories to the media. How the hell else are they going to afford him! he dont work for bloody charity!!!!
