7 December, 2005 at 12:48 pm #173499WELL BAD THEY PLAYIN SH1TE IN THE LEAGUE BUT THEY PLAYED VERY WELL LAST NIGHT
7 December, 2005 at 1:23 pm #173500They say that Rangers are the first Scottish club to reach this far.
Didn`t a certain Scottish football club WIN the Champions Cup – the old European Cup?

7 December, 2005 at 8:54 pm #173502Ok, fair play to Rangers they qualified.
I almost spluttered my cornflakes out this moring when I read Fernando Dic.ksen saying that this makes Alex Mc Pis.h the greatest Scottish manager ever. Yup he’s surely surpassed Stein, Ferguson, Shankly and Busby. Cmon Fernando stay off the Buckfast and hard drugs.Rangers were hardly in a group of death. Artmedia are poor. Sure they beat Celtic but if we’d have played em a few weeks later we’d have thumped them, as we did in the home leg. Porto arent a shadow of the side who won the UEFA Cup and Champions League a few years ago. Also Inter sent out a reserve team who couldent b bothered last night.
A decent achievement for Rangers, but their players should really stop talking mince. The domestic league table dosent lie.

Generally agree Bad M but such is the make up of a domestic football team in this country these days that often European football suits them better than the frentic pace of our British football leagues.
The current European Champions hardly set their domestic league alight last year did they?
9 December, 2005 at 7:46 pm #173505If you look at the records in the last 5 years….not many winners do !!
9 December, 2005 at 8:13 pm #173506Fact of the matter is that Rangers won 1 of 6 games in their section, and qualified with a measly 7 points.
Celtic managed to get 9 on the board the other year and didnt manage to qualify.
So fair enough Rangers did qualify, but for Di.cksen to say this makes McPi.sh superior or more successful than O’Neill or that this eclipses Celtic’s run to the UEFA Cup Final is nonsense. -
