Can they go all the way now? Fiorentina’s a good side, but not as good as they once were and I think the first leg is at home so if we can grind them down we’ve got a chance. I’d love to see the Gers face Advocaat in the final :lol:

I actually thought the game on Thursday wasn’t too bad, compared to the first game anyway. But this seems to be what they do best, treating the games as marathons instead of races.
I think tonight’ll be even more difficult now. Though I think it’s fair to say that we’ll miss McGregor more through injury than McCulloch, Adam, Burke & Naismith. I also reckon we’ll miss Thomson more than Ferguson. Fergie’s been a bit ineffective recently, whereas Thomson has that aggresion you need in midfield.
I reckon Smith will go for the 0-0 at home and try to win it with an away goal but it’s not going to be easy. Tonight’s team may well have a very unfamiliar look to it.
