Tell that to the Russian Fan who’s been stabbed.
Cant take these Rangers fans anywhere Matt.
14 May, 2008 at 9:38 pm #317756F**k scottish football, what do Rangers owe Gordon Smith and his cronies? This was Rangers’ game to win or lose however they see fit. Scottish football is already a laughing stock, haven’t you noticed how little respect it has?
Good for Celtic for having their honour etc, I’m still proud of my team for what they’ve achieved despite the snipers.

No proof as yet that it was a Rangers fan who stabbed him, Russian fans are a bit mental themselves if you didn’t know.

Now watch the Championship come back to Parkhead.
These Happy Days are yours and mine Happy Days. :D
14 May, 2008 at 9:55 pm #317759Who’s upset? I’m just stating a fact, for me results matter more than performances. I don’t care how they got there, but they did and the better team won on the night. It’s called a difference of opinion, it happens sometimes.
Still two trophies to play for though and if Celtic win the league, then Celtic win the league – Walter’s way ahead of schedule for his rebuilding.

14 May, 2008 at 10:03 pm #317761So what song are we singing?
14 May, 2008 at 10:16 pm #317762Smith should have had a go. Leaving a form player like Novo on the bench.
As The Gambler Kenny Rogers once sang “Know when to hold em, know when to fold em”. Tonight was the time to hold em.
If Rangers had had a go they could be sitting there with the Trophy. Probably not, but the Rangers fans would surely have had a warmer feeling in their stomach than knowing that they didnt even try to make a game of it.
14 May, 2008 at 10:28 pm #317763wish they would hurry up and get out of Manchester
14 May, 2008 at 10:32 pm #317764I agree that Novo should have played, I expected his name to be one of the first on the team sheet but unless he went 442 which has been very shaky for us this season (look at the Dundee United games) then there was no chance. Davis is a difficult man to drop in that position.
I watched the game with my dad and we both thought that, if he was playing a five man midfield, Dailly would be playing the holding role ahead of Hemdani. But hindsight is a wonderful thing. Walter’s bound to look at this campaign as something he can realistically hope to build on next season. And I reckon he’ll have more depth next year, having Burke, Naismith and Beasley out injured long term hasn’t helped so with a few new faces he’s bound to be confident. His tactics often baffle me and tonight was unfortunately the night when it didn’t pay off.
Like I said, I’m still happy that I got to see my team in a european final.
