Talk about doing things the hard way! Don’t know why Novo was played as a lone striker when his running power would have been better used in the wider areas but I’m still chuffed with the result, Bremen could have had that one done and dusted in no time if it hadn’t been for some suspect finishing, good defending and excellent goalkeeping from McGregor.

I’d take PSV in the next round but something tells me we’ll get Bayern.

Sporting Lisbon next up. One of the weakest teams that were left in the draw.

Yep, the draw looks pretty good for Rangers and if we get past Lisbon then I think it’s all to play for. I’d have liked to have seen Munich v Levekusen as right now (since Bremen are out) they’re my top picks as potential winners, have been since I saw the last 32.

I think Bayern would have been one of the favourites for the Champions League if they were in it.
    I cant see past them.

Second rate competition for second rate clubs, you wear it well.

    It’s Jack and Jill!

0-0 at home isn’t a bad result, I think we’re capable of going over there and getting a result. Especially since Cousin should be back to provide a much needed physical presence up front, Darcheville’s got good strength and pace but he prefers running onto the ball. They really needed to get a goal tonight, means that all the pressure is on them for the second leg.

They’ll know that if Rangers get one goal, they’ll sit back back and make it difficult. Not a perfect strategy, but it’s effective and that’s what wins games.

Yeah, an away goal will win it I think. Cant see Sporting scoring 2.
