    Are you near oradour?

I couldnt even begin to imagine what people went through in the war.

My grandad was in the first war…like many he lied about his age….after a year his mother had him sent home.

I still have the picture of him in his uniform.

We are about 90 minutes from there and I hope to find time to go there soon

I think a lot of people lied about their age – my father in law included who signed up aged 15 to fight in the Indian sub-continent during WW2

There were boys of 15 and 16 going over the top at the somme.

I remember seeing oradour on the world at war in the very first episode.

    Would be interesting to visit.
