Ha Ha…yeah i remember the challenge rule in Scrabble now. You can challenge the spelling or meaning but if you’r wrong, you lose 50 points. lol. What’s the highest score you’ve ever scored at Scrabble…or any one?

Piers Morgan chat show host……interesting show he does/did, entitled Killer Women where he interviews woman who are serving life in America for murder. Looking and listening to a lot of them, you would find it hard to think they were capable of killing any one.
You don’t lose 50 points for a wrong word, if someone challenges your word and they are right and it’s not a word you lose your turn, however, if they challenge your word and they’re wrong (it was a word) they lose their next turn ;)

Probably not that high :) I am quite strong against friends on Facebook but then when I play others who are really good I have zero chance…
I used to play a game on Yahoo Messenger called Literati, it was brilliant and a little similar to Scrabble, don’t think any of that stuff works any more unfortunately…

Thing is about any thing King…i learnt a lot off my older brother….he was always better at every thing than me. Thing is…..i always appreciated the fact that if you always do things with some one who is better at it than you, you will always learn more in the long term rather than short term rewards.

May have to look this up. Have been playing this game since 10 years old faithfully. I do recall earlier on 50 points was challenge. And you may be right now, lose turn, something of such. Rules change? Will research, now make me curious. But remember never wanted to challenge as did not want to give up 50 points. Hee hee, especially with my brother who used bets for loss. Usually giving me his chores for a week….
I too play scrabble every day. Challenge computer, advance level. May not win every time. Last week 348.. and I usually play against a random player on devices. Not on Facebook or anything else..So true MisterQ, how can you improve if you play only people weaker, I did the same thing with chess, when I first started learning I was a 500 or so player, I would only seek games with people above my own rating even though I would lose mostly, that was about 20 years ago, now I am a 2200 player and still do the same thing today. My dad did the same with me when a kid, he would never “just let me win”, at anything, I had to earn it, whether that was a board game, or even a game of tennis.

50 points is massive, are you sure you two are not thinking about the 50 point bonus you get for getting all tiles out in one go?

I love Chess but don’t play any human as i know what i’m like when i lose. LOL Mind you that was years ago….but to be honest…i don’t think ill be any different today. Chess is all about battle, war and killing. It’s not some where i want to go again. Chess is a military game. It’s a great game for the mind but not many can keep it there in my opinion.
