So, after my too-long-of-a-net-hiatus I’ve recently found out my skills have dwindled somewhat.
Not really doing much net stuff for the past two years coupled with my pre-maturely diminishing health and completely battered half to death memory has really taken its toll on my PHP coding knowledge
I was working on the MMORPG script earlier that I acquired to take a look at and a lot of it is pretty straight forward, it’s not much different to the way my old site was coded in respects to the interaction and communication side – but quite a bit of it was completely lost on me which was rather frustrating because I know two years ago I’d have cracked it within minutes, but to be honest I’ve just plain forgot a lot of things and my mind just isn’t as intuitive or creative as it used to be, I’ve lost a lot of that permanently.
But anyway to the cool part, I did a little Google for a cheap PHP/SQL course I could order to work on from home to remind me and nudge my memory and to brush up on the skills, and I came across a site – 100% free.
Of course there’s thousands of sites out there that offer free information, free advice and free tutorials etc but this one is different, it’s completely interactive, you have to work within the page, actually following the instructions, typing the code and it’ll tell you if you did it correctly or incorrectly, it makes you inspect the code, if you get it wrong it doesn’t give you hints as to where, it just lets you take your time – inspect, and keep trying ’til you catch it.
Anybody who’s interested in looking into learning a computer programming language I recommend here:
