Comments or posts deemed to be of a racist, homophobic, slanderous, religious hatred or violent nature are also breaches of UK law no matter where the site is hosted and are a breach of the UK’s “Communications Act 2003”. I have saved all comments, screenshot private messages and emailed the site owner. I hope this site has an acceptable use policies’ that set out what cannot be put on their website. Most do not allow comments, videos and photos that offend or hurt people. I have also emailed Burstfire networks who are the hosting network company for just chat.

    Lol!

Is anyone offended by golliwogs? As far as I’m concerned, Golly is just a doll who happens to be black. I fondly remember Golly on robinson jam jars. No one cared then. I guess its the ‘wog’ that upsets some people. So…..any black people who post here…does Golly offend you?

I remember collecting those tickets from marmalade or jam and waiting in anticipation for my golliwog badge to come through the post. I think you might have been able to get the doll too because somehow I had one! He was cuddled and loved and only ever thought of as a cuddly toy providing comfort.

He’s tattered and torn and belongs to my son now but will always remain Golliwog to us because that was his name from birth.

I don’t give a toss about politically correct names because if one was to try and keep up with what is politically correct this month it will change next month, it’s all down to how you treat people whatever colour or creed they are!

This is my last comment on this nasty little post.

Oh ffs!  So you’re telling me, asking for an opinion on whether or not a doll, who happens to be black, is against the law?! All because of his name! If he was just called doll, would you be as outraged then?

This site is for ADULTS, and adults have discussions, which was the whole idea. Silly me.

Take it as an admission that her argument is flawed and can’t win the debate.

The BBC license fee is managed directly by the BBC with relatively little government interference other than the BBC now funding free TV licenses for oap’s aged over 75. Of course to you, as an American, the BBC must be an alien concept.

I also find it rather amusing that you post a Daily Express link, a tabloid rag here in the UK and have the audacity to describe it as “evidence”. A claim by a disgruntled ex employee and another link to the Express on Sunday. Especially though after you flippantly dismissed one of the best research universities in the entire world, the LSE, as a “bunch of marxist leftites”.

Why do you post similar topics on Patschat but in a totally different name? Are you and Draculina related, you both rely on the Daily Express for all your information.

I also linked to The Guardian, who actually are ‘marxist lefties’, it doesn’t refute the information they are reporting on though.

You quoted a disgruntled ex BBC employee, which was printed in the Guardian and is NOT the Guardians view.

I guess you mean the migrants one? Different topic. This is about a doll, and why does it matter what my user name is here and there?

I read the DM, Occasionally I look at the express website, and sometimes, I read the telegraph, and look at the bbc website.

And no Drac and I are not related. She’s pretty cool though. Not afraid to say what she thinks, I like that.
