God bless her Majesty, and well done to the Irish republic for finally growing up and not behaving like children for once.

The Irish forget that it was an anti-Royalist, Oliver Cromwell, that committed the atrocities (which, are still historically unproven, and could very well just be propagandist myth), and not the Royal Family, who were AGAINST invading Ireland, but were ousted from power, and had no control at that time.

Ever since Cromwell the Irish have behaved like petulant little children throwing their toys out of their pram. They forget that we couldn’t stand the twit as much as they couldn’t! Why do you think WE got rid of him in the end.

Time to put this childish dispute aside, and take lead from our glorious Queen of 52 nation states of the British Commonwealth, and be mature.

She always sets the best of examples, bless her, I’ll be a Royalist ’til the day I die.

Or until they have you assassinated.

They wouldn’t have me assassinated, they need people like me to defend them against evil liberals trying to steal their country from them.

Pass the bucket for fucks sake, haven’t those Irish suffered enough at the hands of this devilish family ?

Sometimes something good happens between two nations who have had a troubled past but now treat each other with respect as equals. That should be celebrated. How good would it be if something like this was happening between a reconstituted Palestinian state and Isreal?

Well it is happening here and now between two peoples who have abused and killed each other quite enough. I for one think its fantastic, and a blow for all those who still harbour sectarian hatreds. Let’s hope we can have a proper Palestinian/Iraeli peace process soon. Long shot I know, but so was the Northern Ireland peace process a few years ago.

I am not a Royalist, so the involvement of the Queen doesn’t do it for me, but this visit has been historic in its importance.

By the way Gaz our current German Royal Family hasn’t done much really horrific to the Irish. That was previous Royal Families and subsequent British politicians. All behind us now – and we’re all the better for that!
