QAnon (/ˌkjuːəˈnɒn/), or simply Q, is a discredited American far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic pedophiles run a global child sex-trafficking ring and plotted against former U.S. president Donald Trump while he was in office. QAnon is commonly called a cult.

Hmmm…. well they cant be that bad can they?
I was talking to a friend about them after Sasys reply on another thread. He compared Qanon to a post world war one German pollical party similar to Deutschnationale Volkspartei, DNVP.

He may have a point…. the message is almost the same “Germany for Germans (DNVP)… America for the Americans (QAnon)”
OK here our first problem… who’s an American?
In 1800 there was round 5 million people living in America mostly on farms. At the start of the civil war in 1861 the number had grown to 31 million. Population growth only started at the beginning of the 20th century.

I think its far to say most America family’s have no connection to the frontier homesteaders, Indian wars or even the civil war.
When you see pictures of Qanon members waving flags and screaming freeedom one thing really stands out… they all look like Slav’s. Clearly part of the wave of Slavic immigration that stared in the 1900’s after persecution in Europe that carried on until the end of world war two.
Nazi Germany declared Slavs, especially neighboring Poles and Russians to be subhuman (Untermensch) and planned to exterminate the majority of Slavic people.

Its a bit of a paradox. On the one hand we have a group echoing the noises of pre Nazi Germany and on the other a persecuted people forced out of Europe by extremists.
Lets face it few if any of them can make a claim on being descendants of American pioneers or even civil war veterans. A best you can say they married into those family trees in the last 100 years.
And QAnon message? I think its sold so well due to Slavic superstitions and fears. Devil worship and child stealing have long been themes in eastern Europe mainly due to the Ottomans & Janissary.
Over all… this brings the Infinite monkey theorem to mind. Instead of monkeys and typewrites… think drunks and internet. Its going to be a long wait until they come up with Shakespeare, in the mean time we have a lot of random sh1t to go.
