Lets get ONE thing clear before we go any further.

There is NO corruption in football.

There maybe corruption in the business side of the game.

Made me laugh today, sky interviewed the main agent involved in the panarama documentary, the edited version shouted to sky’s subcribers not to panic, keep subscribing.

Anyway, all involved deny any wrong doing, and theres no real evidence either way.

We all know theres corruption, as proved with former arsenal manager george graham.

The question is, how much corruption is there, and how will it effect the proffessional side of the game?

Corrupution and bungs in the game would be rife I’d imagine. It’s just that the Panorama programme was all hearsay, and proved absoultely nothing. There will a few Lawsuits flying Parorama’s way I’d imagine.

all I know about this is corruption = business in the football world. Nothing new and I feel a small amount of sympathy for the few that are publicised for taking part in what goes on more than once a day in the world of football.

It doesnt bother me. I just love watching it!!! (the game that is)

How corrupt is diving, feigning injury if an opponent comes near you, drug abuse, etc. Nothing to do with the business side of the game but everything to do with a “win at all costs” attitude.

Of course there is corruption in football, it’s just what level you class the corruption at

Excellent point slayer, and i cant believe that passed me by. They do dive etc for financial gains though.

I can see a club sueing a player and/or club for diving one day, probably cos it costs them valuable points or a place in the next round.

I think you may be right- video replay should be avilable and the FA should be able to review incidents in games, punishments, includig unlimited fines should be handed out- the Zakora dive from Sunday’s Spurs n Portsmouth game was just beyond belief and won Spurs the game

This is the way it’s been for hundred years+. We dont want American Style video replay’s where the game lasts for 3 or 4 hours so they can review every tackle and disputed decision. It usually levels out over the course of a season anyway.

I dont buy that evens its self out malarky. The bigger the roar, the more likely a ref or linesman/woman will give a decision. Bigger supported clubs get the most decisions.
