Very helpful so thanks for that, another vist was made last night and again ignored, i realise that as this is a government agency seeking to recover this through a debt companyand that i will eventually have to face the music. My hope is that i will be given a fair hearing with a judge where my explanations can be put. It doesnt look good at this point as the dvla have already passed this to external recievers/collectors and thus bypassing any form of true justice, they have effectively played judge, jury and executioner here.
A simple error on my part has caused me some very real problems now, the simple fact that no crime has been committed and it is purely a financial penalty appears to withdraw the situation from the justice machine.
There are tactics that can be tried but, as a government organisation i am limited to what can be done, there are cases that have been victorious against the dvla on grounds of incompetence, perhaps this will be my saviour :roll:
